President's Message

Your PTA welcomes you to the 2007-2008 school year. We have a very dynamic board dedicated to making this a positive and productive year. PTA has many exciting goals and projects planned with a focus on health and safety. Highlights include:

Arts: PTA cultural arts contests, art recyclables collection
Events: Fun Fair, Family Game Night, Breakfast with a Special Person, Teacher Appreciation Week, Restaurant Spirit Nights
Health and Safety: $2,000 toward playground equipment, fully-stocked first aid room, purchasing walkie talkies, funding Red Ribbon Week campaign and counselor needs, two health programs for students, Internet safety and bullying programs for parents, playground drainage study, classroom mini-grants
Teacher Support: purchasing die cuts and laminating film, paying for teacher websites, teacher supply cabinet, potluck luncheons on teacher work days

I encourage you to think of how you can make a positive impact at Bonne Ecole this year. It does not have to involve a lot of time or money. Clipping 10 cent Box Top labels equals thousands of dollars in the course of a year; volunteering to chaperone a field trip allows our students the opportunity to experience something new and educational; weeding a flower bed at school creates a more beautiful and welcoming environment. Every gesture, no matter how big or how small, does make a difference.
